About Me

Hello All!I am an amatuer cook and with every new recipe I try I am getting better. Most of my creations are derived from recipes I find online. Often times I am underwhelmed by many that I try. This blog will be a place for me to share the ones I tried and loved, or maybe even just liked. This will be motivation for myself to try at least one new recipe per week, hopefully more. I'm excited to start sharing!
My culinary background: hold on, don't blink. Really my background is just cooking because I love it and I love food. I can remember being ten and I used to make dinners for my mother and myself. I remember finding a recipe in one of her magazines and it was barley vegetable stuffed yellow squash. So since then I have been trying new recipes to find the ones I love.
I will say, almost all my meals involve wild game or no meat at all. I was vegan for nearly 5 years. So I do like to find creative ways to make a meal without using meat. If the recipe I show has wild game in it, feel free to substitute with beef. I encourage everyone to look into where their meat comes from, you may not like what you find. Regardless, it is everyone's own decision what they eat, that is why I love cooking and creating.

I live on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon inside Grand Canyon National Park. Alot of the socializing around here is around food or dinner parties. With not a lot of activity for the locals we love us some dinner parties.

I have a lovely family here that consists of my Bassett Hound, Dozer and  my kitty, Neko Kitty. Oh yeah, and my husband, Stuart and my step kids Sarah and Jason.
